How to Superstudy

1 Pick a tutor

Work with our concierge to find the perfect tutor: a great teacher who can connect with your student, explain content clearly, and motivate them to succeed.

Choose from teachers of the year, Ivy League graduates, AP graders, and educators with 20 years of experience.

2 Create an account

Create an account and subscribe for a set number of sessions that your student can use to work with the tutor of their choice. These credits provide tailored support for students, ensuring they receive precisely the right amount of assistance, no more and no less.

3 Work with
your tutor

Book an intro session, to meet your tutor. Then schedule a longer session to help get you caught up. If you have questions during the week, need clarification, or want your work checked, you can schedule a short session with your tutor. All sessions will be online via Zoom.

We offer two virtual 1 on 1 tutoring models

Study Halls

What they are

On demand, 15 minute, 1 on 1, office hour sessions with an expert tutor, available every week night, Monday-Thursday.

How they work

Each study hall focuses on a specific subject, takes place during the same one hour block (e.g. 8-9pm), and has the same tutors nightly. A student signs up for a study hall and when they need tutoring, they book a 15 minute session within their study hall time, e.g. 8-9.

How they help

Our Study Hall offers structure and flexibility. Some nights you need a 15 minute session to clarify a concept. Other nights, you may want for 15 minutes to review your work. And some nights you don't need any help. Our Study Halls provide students with the flexibility to get as much or as little help as needed from the expert teacher they trust.

Concierge Tutoring

What they are

Pre-booked, 30 or 60 minute sessions with a tutor of your choice on the day and time that works best for your schedule.

How they work

A Superstudy Concierge will reach out to you, find the ideal tutor for your student and your schedule and manage all bookings. If you'd prefer to book on your own, you can do that too. We handle as much of the tutor search and booking process, as you want.

How they help

Longer sessions allow students to tackle larger concepts, work on a multi-part project, catch up on missing assignments, or even get ahead. You also have the flexibility to book a 30 minute session one week and a 60 minute the next. You tell us what you need and we take care of the scheduling and payment.

Sessions are added to your student's account every month to ensure that your student gets the just right support. Parents have price certainty and know their student can get support at all the right times. Study hall sessions are on call 15 minute sessions, that students can book nightly. Concierge sessions are 30-60 minute sessions, scheduled in advance. Families can switch plans at any time. Sessions expire at the end of the month.

Brenna Mahoney

Brenna has over 14 years in the areas of special education and literacy interventions as well as consulting with districts and coaching educators. She wants all students to have access to the support they need, and she believes Superstudy can create equitable and accessible learning opportunities for all students.

Eli Williams

Eli has worked as a teacher, tutor, and administrator in public and private schools for the last 20 years. As a teacher and tutor, he has worked to support all students outside of the classroom, when they need it most. He built Superstudy so that all students would have access to timely, effective and affordable tutoring.
