I have taught middle school English/Language Arts for 16 years. Working with middle school students is always fun and interesting. We laugh every day, even when writing. I have received a regional award for innovative curriculum twice. I never teach a unit the same way twice because the students aren't the same.

My approach to teaching is to help students find the answers by using established problem-solving techniques. I meet students where they are at and focus on moving forward one step at a time. I want my students to have the confidence that they can accomplish any task and achieve their goals. People rarely achieve their goals without help from others. I am grateful every day to play a role in my students achieving theirs.
