With over 20 years of teaching and tutoring experience, I specialize in guiding students through all levels of math—from 7th grade fundamentals to AP Calculus AB/BC, AP Statistics, and AP Computer Science A. My deep expertise in AP Calculus allows me to pinpoint and fill in knowledge gaps, helping struggling students build confidence and excel. I hold a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, a bachelor’s degree in computer science, and a master’s degree in mathematics with an education emphasis. A caring teacher, Dr. Hilliard has been teaching in Virginia since 2004. She has taught Algebra I, Geometry, Honors Algebra II, Trigonometry, Pre-calculus, Probabilities and Statistics, AP Statistics, AP CSP, AP Calculus BC, and AMC (American Mathematics Competitions). She believes every student has an innate curiosity for learning. She was a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society, Phi Beta Delta, and Kappa Delta Pi. During her time at the College of William and Mary, she received the Diversity Initiative Recognition Award (2013), Educational Leadership Award (2012), Innovative Diversity Effort Award (2012), W&M Foundation Scholarship (2011), and TEACH Scholarship (2003). Her dissertation won the 2014 Marjorie Peace Lenn Research Award. Her article was published in the Journal of Psychoeducational Assessment. Her dissertation was published as a book chapter in the e-learning Excellence Awards 2015: An Anthology of Case Histories in the U.K.
