My name is Kim, and I love teaching geometry. I have been teaching math for the past 15 years, and I also teach piano in my private piano studio. There are a lot of connections between music and math and geometry is all about patterns and the relationships we see between shapes. It is also the math you will use the most outside of the math classroom. I am looking forward to tutoring in the geometry study hall!

I have a Masters of Education in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, and I am working on my EdD (Doctorate in Education), focusing on the way students learn math and how we, as teachers, can make learning better. I write curriculum for the St. Paul Public School district, and I teach geometry and IB math at one of the high schools in that district. I have presented at the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics on writing geometry curriculum that is relevant to students and their lives. I also facilitate professional development for our district.
